Introduction of the Wyndham Scheme, and Intermediate High School renamed Kogarah Boys' High School |

Girls' and Boy' High Schools merge to form Kogarah High School Alan Dixon gathered and met deaf students in deaf primary schools southern and northern area |

Deaf unit classes being created for deaf students |

Industrial arts block opened Diana and Lynette Sumner twin sisters first students to complete Year 11 schooling |

Sign language allowed to be used by the students in everyday conversation |
